That Country Life

I've grown up on 60 acres pretty much my whole life. I got the cows, massive pond, farm truck, tractor, you name it. Once might think the country life gets old, but if you've never laid in the back of a pick up, in pasture and star-gazed all night (I have yet to do this...) then you're sadly wrong.
I've went to the same small school my whole life. The kind where everyone knows everyone, and everything about you, where the whole community is at the Friday night football game, we where cowboy boots with our athletic shorts, and the guys sneak snuff into the "tabacco -free" building. We also have a cattle guard at the entrance of it.  I've pretty much grown up with all the people in my grade and I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't miss them when we graduate. They're like my family and even though we all get on each other's nerves a lot, we have each others backs at the end of the day, no doubt.
If you would've asked me 6 months ago, where I wanted to be in life, I would say the city-no questions asked. I wanted to go somewhere surrounded by lights and people. My mind soon began to change when Junior year approached. I pondered how I could ever leave such a lifestyle. Riding four wheelers, small town life, going to church every sunday...I realized this is where I belong and where I'll always come back. I don't know what it is about this town, but I love it and it'll always be my home.

November Shenanigans and Such

The month of November flew by all too sudden and I'm quite sad about that fact. First off, I'd like to say this month was full of laughter, tears, and great food.

At the beginning of the month I got the privilege to go watch the UCO/OU basketball game with my youth group. As you can see in the photo below, I also got to hang with "Besth Fran" She is by far the coolest kid ever and I can't imagine my life without her.

This month was also filled with some of our last games of football. This was our last game before playoffs.

THis was on our way to the second round of playoffs. I got the honor to ride with the cheerleaders to the game which was roughly 2 hours away. We lost, which knocked us out of playoffs. Sad day.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. Why you ask? Because it is filled with amazingess such as green bean casserole, stuffing, turkey, and of course pumpkin pie. Not to mention, I have the coolest family ever.

Why I'm not a Fan of Being a Girl.

Being a girl is not all that people crack up it to be. I promise, not all of us girls can just roll out of bed looking like Megan Fox or Jennifer Aniston. It's just not possible; Which is probably a disappointment to most men around the world. Now there is hope for most men, we do have these things called make up and straighteners that make us look less like hell, and more flattering. Then you have those girls that can just roll out of bed looking good and not have to do anything but they're rather rare. There are many downsides to being a girl and those are just the beginning of them.
Now don't get me wrong, the clothes, shopping, getting nails done, and cuddling babies is fun and all, but there comes a time in every girls life where they hit the realization that being a boy would be twelve times easier. Trust me, it really would. Most girls would give anything not to have to wake up at six every morning,  go through the raging hormones to where we eat everything as far as the eye can see, or try to lose weight just to impress the guy sitting behind us in third hour. Half the crap we do, we do for boys.Trust me, no one wants to wake up at six and put on make up and curl our hair for nothing. The great thing about this is that boys don't really notice. Most of them are oblivious anyway. Now, I can honestly say there is no one I try to impress at my school since I'm pretty much related to majority of the students anyway, plus I promised myself no more dating in highschool... which shouldn't be a problem. Haha.
One more thing that I have a problem with is I can never make up my mind. One day I feel like I have my mind made up, but by the next week I feel as if I can't live without something. That's just how it works. It takes me forever to get over things. Once I get attached to something, it's hard for me to let go. Which is kind of a problem. It also means I'm not the hugest fan of change. Again, that's not a good thing considering I'll be graduating soon which I'm not looking forward to AT ALL. The funny thing is, I can know the "thing" isn't good for me or whatever and I'll still catch myself thinking about this "thing:". So the "thing" is really a person but that's a different story.
Another thing I hate, as done everyone else is the wonderful thing called drama.
I don't even know where to being on this topic. I just want to say a couple things that will probably come out as blunt as needed.
          1. Don't talk crap on the internet about people. You're not cool when you do it and the web isn't your diary. You got a problem with someone? Pray about it or tell it to their face. You're no better than they are.
          2. If you don't know if it's true or not, keep your mouth shut.
Most girls do not follow this. Why? because we pretty much believe everything we hear. I know for a fact that I myself, am gullible. So even I have trouble following a rule such as this. But if it ain't about you, don't go tellin' tales. Word.
          3. Don't put yourself in the middle of other peoples drama
It is highly unnecessary and you'll regret it. Yes, there is a difference between someone telling you what' going on and you butting into something that had nothing to do with you to begin with. Just mind your own business and life will be simple.
4.Don't talk smack on people you don't know.
This is exceptionally important since you don't know the person. Which links back to the whole " don't believe everything you say." Sure you may hear bad things about people and automaticallyput them under the "bad" category but you don't know if that piece of information is true about the person or not. If you have proof that it is, then it still does NOT make them a bad person. Don't forget you make mistakes as well.
Another thing us girls as very very good at doing is comparing ourselves to others. I do this a lot actually. I see someone with something of great value and automatically think I'm less of a person because I lack it. That's the thing; girls are usually never satisfied. Once we get something, we're on to wanting something else.
Girls are mean. Highschool girls, that is. We judge other people by what they wear, or how they did their hair, or even by what they drive. I honestly don't see how this matters in any way possible. It honestly doesn't matter what clothes we wear, how we wear our hair, or what car we drive. According to girl though, if you're not up to date with the latest fashion then you're automatically "unpopular".
We tend to break into cliques and not befriend other people unless they're like us. So I think I made it pretty clear that the girl world isn't a tea party.

Whilst there are tons of disadvantages to being a lady, it also has its perks.
I probably won't think of too many, but I do know a few for a fact.

If you're a girl, you dont have to pay for dates (if you score a decent guy.) They don't understand how nice it is to be able to just go to the movies and not have to pay for anything. It's a glimpse of heaven, if you will.

You can wear glitter and no one will question your sexual orentation (normally). I feel as if I were given the option, I would lay in a bath full of glitter. Just so I could look like Kesha.

We control the relationship pretty much... we carry the whip all day, every day. When we want something, all we gotta do is crack it. That's how it works.

We're generally liked more. We're more dependable, not to mention more intelligent. We got it all down for the most part. We also move out earlier than most men. That's just the way it is.

While, I have stayed up in the wee hours of morn to finish this, I must sign off so I don't ramble into what could become a novel. If you made it this far, congrats. Few people do.

October

I can't believe it's already October. It seems like yesterday this year just began and here it is already almost over. It makes me a little sad. On the 1st on October, I went and celebrated my grandma's birthday. I honestly have NO idea what I would do without her. She is seriously one of the best people to ever be in my life.  That same night I had to go help out with the NHS induction.

grandkids minus Candice.

That weekend I celebrated my best friend since kindergarten's birthday. A bunch of us went downtown and just hung out. It was a blasty blast.

The next week was Hoemcoming week. We always have Spirit Week where we have a theme for each day and then at the end of the week we have a parade to get pumped up for the game. Unfortunately, after the parade I got sick and could not stay for the game (I got the joy of staying home and puking my guts up..so fun!...not.). My best friend Brooke was also Junior candidate for Homecoming which I hated missing. I did snatch a pic with her though before things took a turn for the worse! :)

The following weekend, I got to spend at Falls Creek for fall retreat which I would never pass up! We headed down there on Friday and stayed till Saturday evening. I loved the group I went with and can't wait for Summer to come around so we can go back!

The next week I packed up to head off to Indiana for FFA National Convention. We left on the 23rd at 4AM and came back the 26th. It was SO much fun even if we did spend most of the time on the bus. The first day we drove and stopped in Tennessee and went to the Grand Ol' Opry. The next day, we drove the rest of the way to Indiana where the National Convention was held. We arrived around 4 and got to walk around the career show where I not only bought a penguin phone case, but saw a real live PENGUIN. My dream came true. It was the best day ever!! We went to a session around 5 and that lasted till around 9:30. We then hopped on the bus and headed to the hotel. The next day, we drove to Kentucky and went to Churchhill Downs, and Three Chimney's farms. We then drove to Missouri and stayed at lovely hotel that had a waffle maker! My favorite! that night we went to Lambert's where they threw rolls and overfed you because they can. We then went back to the hotel took a dip in the pool and headed to bed to make our way back home. All in all, I'm so glad i got to go.

On the Sunday before Halloween, I attended our annual Halloween Youth Party. It was a blasty blast.

On the last day of October, I dressed up in my penguin suit and went to Doba to eat. We were going to go trick or treating but ended up driving to BFE to go to a haunted house. When we got there, it was 15$ to go. None of us had the money so we ended up going to wal mart instead. It was a fail to say the least.

All in all, October was a great month. Time to bring on the turkey though! :)
