My friend Dakota is talking to a freshman and wanted to ask her to prom. His idea to ask her was putting a note in a chocolate box. I told him to go all out... I did some research and got the idea to spell "prom" in tea light candles. Needless to say, he went through with my idea. I got a couple friends to join in on the project and we ended up with 500 candles and about 11 people including Kylie (Dakota's date) to help.
On Valentine's Day, they went out on a date, and we all headed over there to prepare. Originally, we were gonna do it in the driveway, but the Oklahoma wind ruined that plan. We resorted to the garage. Some people put the candles in cups, while others spelt it out. It took us around an hour and a half, which resulted in us having to tell Kylie's mom to text them and tell them to go to Sonic and get drinks just to buy more time :) We also had to take out the garage light, that way it'd stay dark when she opened the door. We all hid in one corner when the pulled in the drive, and popped out when she walked in. It was the cutest thing ever! Her face was priceless.

Of course, she said yes. We didn't buy 500 cups and candles for nothing. I'm so glad I got to be apart of something like this. It was one of the coolest things I've gotten to experience. Now, I'm counting down to prom :)
